Welcome to Braunstone Community Primary School. Our school BCPS is for children from 3 to 11 years old, there are approximately 450 children on roll. We are a very friendly community school, where families are encouraged to learn together and give their children the confidence to succeed.
We are proud of our children, their behaviour and many achievements. We provide a calm and happy atmosphere setting high standards of respect, courtesy, hard work and achievement for everyone. Visitors are welcome and always enjoyed by the children.
Braunstone Community Primary School is a very special place. Visitors often comment positively on the children’s warm welcome, their enthusiasm and also on staff’s commitment and dedication. We understand the power of education and take very seriously our duty to give your children the best start in life.
Our learning community combines high expectations with quality learning and relationships to ensure that every child achieves a personal best.
As Headteacher, I am very proud to be a member of this community. We continue to strive for continuous improvements in everything we do. Our commitment is to be the best we can be and to help your children become successful, happy and respectful young people. Their learning and personal development are our driving force. We believe that every child in our school should be treated as if they were our own.
We have changed the curriculum so that it is rigorous, rich, creative, relevant, broad and balanced. English and Maths are pivotal and are prioritised within each subject area. We believe that we are well positioned to embrace the expectations in the new National Curriculum.
We provide a nurturing and secure environment for your children. The school’s Governing Body and Inclusion Team are very supportive. Mrs Rushin, (Inclusion Manager) and Mr Brown (Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare Leader) work with parents and children for the benefit of all through the work in our Nurture provision and Learning Support Unit (LSU). They can be contacted through the school office. Please ask for them directly. Alternatively, you can contact Mrs Ball, our Deputy Headteacher or myself.
We want our children to have the skills necessary for the future – to be confident and competent members of a modern society.
We look forward to seeing you in school and working in partnership with you.
I want to thank you for your continued support and for trusting us with the privilege of educating your precious children.
Welcome to Braunstone Community Primary School.
